The ACFE established and administers the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation. Globally preferred by employers, the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection, deterrence and investigation. • There are currently more than 19,000 CFEs worldwide. As experts in the four major areas of fraud, CFEs are trained to identify the warning signs and red flags that indicate evidence of fraud and fraud risk.
